In 2014, Asoomii Jay witnessed the war in Libya and saw a side that media was not covering; the actual reality of those living there.
She used her social media platform to share her journey but that was not enough. She was frustrated that she could not reach a larger audience to raise awareness on the actuality of who she saw was behind the war and how people can assist the victims on an individual humanitarian level.
She created social media experiments alongside Time Vision Productions that caught the attention of mainstream media outlets and was given that platform to share her message, including her fight against islamophobia and raising awareness about media hypocrisy.
She had also been interviewed on international media programs some of which include CBC, CNN Indonesia, Russia Today, Al Arabiya, Huffington Post Canada, Huffington Post UK, Metro, Mirror, The Telegraph, Independent, CBC Radio Tapestry (starts at 35:45), The News Lens - China, Huff Post Korea, Muslim Link, El Comercio - Peru, DailyMail UK and others.
