A lot of people today suffer from anxiety (I know I do!): social media has instilled this fear of FOMO (fear of missing out), people feel pressured to be out every Friday and Saturday night to show they’re enjoying life, the news is constantly in our face with fear mongering and blasting things we need to care or to be aware about. And it gets overwhelming!
It’s taken me some time to learn how to balance and control my anxiety (through mindfulness, medication & breathing) but I now enjoy solitude time in my own home without the fear of FOMO, I have trained my mind to focus on the present and leave the future up to happen as it should, and I value my solitude and peace over being constantly surrounded by others.
Plus I have the cutest kitten so that’s a bonus of a night in vs a night out
